Balenciaga is taking body dysmorphia to the next level.
The fashion house teamed with Copenhagen, Denmark-based visual artist Yilmaz Sen this week to tout its Resort 2019 collection in a series of eerie videos posted on both their Instagram accounts.
Models stare vacantly into the camera as their bodies slowly morph and melt into horror movie-worthy shapes.
Think “The Exorcist” meets “Suspiria,” Vogue reports.
One of the creepy clips features a model’s legs contorting at the knees, while the top of her body shakes in tiny back-and-forth motions as if she’s possessed.
These chilling pieces of multimedia art might just spur goosebumps.
Weirdly enough, that’s exactly what the artist intended.
“I wanted to create something unpleasant for the viewer,” Sen tells Vogue. “I had maybe a little sinful approach to that.”
