Did ‘Game of Thrones’ just spoil the finale with ‘Jenny’s Song’?

The second episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 8 contains a music cue that foreshadows who will end up on the Iron Throne.

Spoilers below for the second episode of the final season.

“Game of Thrones” likes to weave music into its significant plot points, from “The Rains of Castamere” at the Red Wedding to “The Bear and the Maiden Fair” for the saga of Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie). Now add another to the list: “Jenny’s Song.”

This episode has a scene where, in the calm before the storm, a bunch of beloved characters who will probably die soon (including Jaime, Tyrion, Brienne, Podrick, Davos, and Tormund) gather for a drink before the big battle. When Tyrion requests a song, Podrick breaks out into a mournful tune called “Jenny’s Song” as the camera pans over various characters spending what may be their last night alive (including Arya in bed with Gendry!).
